Neverland
There are 8 groups with this name;
1: Dreamtone & Iris Mavraki's NEVERLAND - the collaboration between Turkey's progressive power metal band Dreamtone and Greek artist Iris Mavraki. See Dreamtone & Iris Mavraki's Neverland and http://www.in-neverland.com/
2: NEVERLAND: A melodic rock band similar to bands like Journey, Bad English, and Tyketto. Their self-titled debut album, Neverland of 1991, is a near-flawless collection of upbeat rockers and memorable ballads, all written by the band members. The lyrics are your basic love song material, but they seem to be a bit more personal and emotional than what most other bands from this era produced. Great melodies, better than average lyrics, superb musicianship, and captivating vocals. Song highlights include Running On, Mama Said, and Drinking Again (which was featured on the Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey soundtrack). A must for any AOR/melodic rock fan, and should appeal to anyone who enjoys upbeat rock music.
Dean Ortega - Lead Vocals, Percussion
Patrick Sugg - Guitars, Backing Vocals
Gary Lee - Bass, Backing Vocals
Scott Garrett - Drums, Percussion
Neverland hit the music scene at the beginning of the 90s as a four piece Californian rock band. They released their self-titled debut on Interscope in 1991
The band toured to support the album, but they split up afterwards.
In 1996, Neverland reformed with a new vocalist "Bump", to release "Surreal World" in Europe (it was never released in the U.S.). Scott Garrett only recorded on half the tracks before he went off to play with "The Cult". Kevin Valentine (ex-Shadow King) fills in for the rest of the tracks.
Having released "Surreal World", Neverland disbanded. Patrick Sugg and Scott Garrett had already formed a new band by then with Ian Astbury, the former singer of The Cult, called the Holy Barbarians. They released an album called "Cream" in 1996 on Warner Bros. in the U.K. and Beggars Banquet in Europe. They toured for about 10 months in '96 in the U.S. and England and all over Europe
3: NEVERLAND are five Derby musicians, incorporating Folk, Rock, Jazz and Latin influences which make up their hard hitting and unique sound.
Re-formed in October 2004 Derby based band ’NEVERLAND’ returned to the music scene. Following their re-formation they performed three sell out gigs and three festival appearances, all local to Derby and now feel it’s time to move further a field and take their fan base with them.
