Lunacy

Lunacy is the name used by at least four music groups, with wildly different styles.
1. A Swiss thrash metal band from Wettswil that had 8 releases between 1988 and 2004.
2. An American pagan folk duo, that released 2 full length cassettes in the early 1990s.
3. A Japanese visual kei band, that later re-named themselves as LUNA SEA. This tag should be used for their early demo-tapes only.
4. An American punk band from South Bay, California.
5. A Swedish Death Metal band based in Linköping.

1. The Swiss Lunacy first produced 2 demos in 1988 and 1989 before releasing their first EP "Sickness" in 1990 on Suffering Records. They then would produce 2 full-length albums "Face no More" in 1992 on Magic Records and "Believe?" in 1993 on Suffering Records. They had a brief hiatus and released the EP "Grey Silence" on SPV records in 1997. In 2000 they self-released an EP entitled "Fairytales of a New Breed". In 2004 they finally released their 3rd full-length album dubbed "N.I.N.E.".

2.The American Lunacy was a duo active in the early 1990s. Their songs were primarily a cappella, though there were some drums used. Their music is heavily pagan and gay themed. They released their first cassette, Lunacy in 1990, while their second cassette, Hand of Desire was released in 1992.
