Vedrfölnir
Vedrfölnir from Freiburg, Germany - that's folk metal rich in variety and with an eagerness to experiment. In their music they unify elements of folk, black and other metal genres, which is why they call there own style Extreme Folk Metal.
The songs relate to the tales of the Norse mythology, sometimes paraphrased and interpreted in a new way. Especially fast and melodious riffs, blast beats and different kinds of folk elements are omnipresent. At the same time the vocals range from piercing screams to deep growls.
Of course the obligatory drinking song must not be missed in this genre. Nobody can stand still when it sounds and the crowd will sing along, mosh and bang their heads as if there's no tomorrow!
